Ingredients

  • 907 g cabbage
  • 567 g shrimp
  • 170 g carrots
  • 150 g bell pepper
  • 10 mL olive oil
  • 45 mL soy sauce
  • 45 mL rice vinegar
  • 12 g garlic
  • 10 g ginger
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper

Method

  1. Cook the shrimp in a very large skillet or wok with about half the olive oil until pink and opaque, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add the cabbage, carrots, and bell pepper to the skillet.
  3. Cook uncovered over medium-high to high heat for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage softens while still keeping some texture.
  4. Add the garlic, ginger, and crushed red pepper. Cook for 30-60 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
  5. Return the shrimp to the skillet.
  6. Add the soy sauce and rice vinegar near the end. Toss thoroughly and serve.
