Ingredients
Main 900 g / 2 lb lean sliced beef
Marinade 120 mL reduced-sodium soy sauce
28 g honey
18 g minced garlic
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp black pepper
Round whole items like eggs to what makes sense.
Method
Trim visible fat from the beef and slice thinly, since fat reduces storage quality.
Combine the soy sauce, honey, garlic, crushed red pepper, and black pepper into a marinade.
Marinate the beef under refrigeration.
Following the validated USDA jerky process: heat the beef to at least 160°F / 71°C before dehydrating it.
Dehydrate at a constant 130-140°F / 54-60°C until properly dehydrated.
